The All 4 Lou Showdown paired the Vandy Boys against other Nashville universities last month. The games were held at First Horizon Park—home of the Nashville Sounds—and tickets were $10 each with $4 of each ticket benefitting the Live Like Lou Fund for ALS Research at VUMC.
Coach Tim Corbin worked with Nike to have special jerseys designed for the games and all players wore Lou Gehrig’s number 4 on the back with the Live Like Lou logo on one sleeve (and their own jersey number on the opposite sleeve).
Several local ALS families participated in pre-game festivities for each game along with series sponsors including Permobil, Numotion, and the Alexander family.
Dear friend of Live Like Lou, Staci Galentine, said it best when quoting her husband, the late B-Wayne, "we all have a terminal disease, it is called life, it is what we do with it that counts, regardless of the number of days we are given.”
We are so grateful to Coach Tim Corbin and the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team for their support of our vision to leave ALS better than we found it and their efforts to fund ALS research in Middle Tennessee. Congratulations on both wins in the All 4 Lou Showdown!
